She says there will be a cause of this .So will check it out if can .?Has anyone else had this ?

Also been told my cpr is low 5 but its been lower when i looked .Nurse says to check it out i have a Rhummy app very soon .

Hi Chrissie,
I haven't had the blister after having blood taken but they always ask me if I take anything to thin the blood (I don't) because I seem to take a long time for it to stop.
You don't take aspirin or anticoagulants do you?
I've been wondering if it's long term effects of mtx or something because I never used to have this problem.

Hi Barbara, To be on the safe side, I think you need to follow this up with your GP.

Love,

Barbara

Hi Chrissie,
I've looked it up and yes it does dilate the blood vessels, I presume you take it for Raynauds?
As Barbara says, you should discuss it with your GP and also warn anyone who's taking your blood.
Did you know you shouldn't drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruits with Nifedipine?

Hi Chrissie,
It must have been quite scarey for you.
Discuss it with your doc before you get your finger done.
I'm as bad as you not liking to see docs,I haven't seen my GP since last May!

Love, Doreen xx

I do think you should see the doc , Chissie. I'm no expert, but I think this drug will stay in your system for a while, so stopping it the night before and morning of your blood test probably won't make much of a difference. Just ring the surgery and ask for some advice.

Lots of live

Hi,

I am interested in what you have all said because the opposite has happened to me. Before I had RA I was in my doctors words a 'real little bleeder' and it used to take ages for it to stop when ever I had anything done. I used to frighten the life out of the dentist after an extraction.

However since having RA and being on MXT I am normal and when I have my bloods done I don't even have a plaster I just press with a piece of cotton wool for about 30 seconds and off I go.

I take Prednisolone as well and Co Codamol so they are not affecting me. I think this RA is a very strange illness as it never seems to affect two people the same.

Hope you are all feeling OK and glad the weather is a bit better.

Jayne
